Charles E. Spencer, 65, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of West Genesee High School. He loved classic cars, golfing, fishing, and playing the guitar. A friend of Bill W. for 20 years, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Eleanor Spencer; and siblings, Margaret Sherwood, Frank Spencer, and Edward Spencer.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Suzanne Voumard; sons, Ian (Michelle) and Shane (Maggie) Spencer; grandchildren, Bailey, Ian Jr., Cullen, and Maeve Spencer, and Kassandra (Matthew) Race; great-grandchild, Ivy Race; sisters, Dorothy (Bill Long) Graulich and Eleanor Hill; brother-in-law, Phillip Sherwood and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call -Monday, April 18 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 259 E. Onondaga St., Syracuse. Charles will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners.
