Charles A. Petit

Charles A. Petit, 78, of Camillus, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday at home. Born in Buffalo, he lived in Horseheads for 15 years before moving to Camillus in 1979. Charles was a civil engineer for Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt, retiring in 1995 after more than 20 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and attended Grace Assembly of God Church. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Theresa Levanduski; daughter, Carol (Darl) Ware of Bigler, PA; sons, Michael (Luann) Petit of the Philippines, John (Ruth) Petit of Watertown and Charles (Paula) Petit of Tully; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Relatives and friends may call preceding the service from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Free Gospel Missions, c/o Rev. Michael C. Petit, P.O. Box 477, Export, PA 15632.
