Catherine Walliski, 92, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Community General Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Monday, November 12, 1917, she was the daughter of Charles Organski Sr. and Stella Samuels Organski. She lived in Camillus since 1986. Catherine lived 12 years in Bremerhaven and Frankfurt, West Germany. She spoke fluent German and Polish and traveled extensively during this time, including the Communist countries of East Germany, Poland and Jugoslavia. Mom and Dad enjoyed one last trip together before his death. This trip covered California, Hawaii, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. One last dream was to travel someday to Australia. Catherine was employed with R.E. Deitz Offices for many years and previously with Elman Clothing Factory for over 15 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An awesome “Grammy” to her “little loves,” they were very fortunate to have her love and care as they grew. She was an accomplished seamstress and superb cook. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Stephen, on November 16, 1979. Surviving are her daughter, Beverly Walliski of Camillus; and her “little loves”, Jill An, Mollie Sue, Tia Marie, Cherie, Olivia, and Baby Katie. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Catherine will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
