Catherine "Kitty" (Galati) Sicilio

Catherine "Kitty" (Galati) Sicilio, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving children. Kitty was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Joseph and Rose (Orecchio) Galati. She was known as Kitty to many, Nunni to others, and loved by all. Kitty's greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. In her prime, she could be found on the dance floor or roller skating rink, dressed impeccably and nails always done. It was always the simple things that made her happy; a drawer full of chocolate, a visit from her grandchildren bearing a milkshake or donuts, and her love of butterflies. She expressed her joy to others through Italian food and family, and like a good Italian grandmother, no one ever went hungry in her company.

Catherine was predeceased by her sister, Rosemary Strausser.

Surviving are her children, Joseph (Sheila) Sicilio Jr., Jeffrey Sicilio, Andrea (John) Cristoforetti, Beth Ann Sicilio and Frank Sicilio; brother, Domenick (Deborah) Galati; grandchildren, Vincent, Marissa, Savonnah, Jennifer, Carly and Nicholas; great-granddaughter, Lianne; and nieces, Erika and Deanna.

There will be no calling hours.

Services will be held at a later date in Pittsburgh, PA. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Verona, PA.
