Caryl D. Cooper, 75, of Camillus, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at home. She was born in Geneva and moved to the Syracuse area. A graduate of West Genesee High School, Caryl received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Albany and her master’s degree from Syracuse University. She began her teaching career as an English teacher at Bishop Ludden High School. She was employed with the Syracuse City School District, retiring in 2006 from her administrative position. Caryl enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her family. She had a passion for learning and enjoyed a good conversation.
Caryl was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Eleanor Cooper; sister, Lynne; aunts, Arletta Blowers and Arleen Jerome; and Uncle, Richard Forger.
Surviving are her aunts, Delores Fedrizzi (Godmother) and Marilyn Forger; nieces, great-nieces and great-nephew; and many cousins and family friends.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, December 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
