Caroline Stanistreet, 91, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at Francis House. Born in Syracuse, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Caroline graduated from Split Rock High School and was employed by Onondaga County for several years. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Caroline was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, served on the funeral guild and volunteered with the food pantry. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Faith, family and friends were her biggest interests.
Caroline was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Richard D. Stanistreet, in 2007.
Caroline is survived by her sons, Daniel (Caroline), Joseph (Joy) and Michael (Kathryn), all of Camillus; daughter-in-law, Sandra Stanistreet; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Anne (Antony) Ciarpelli; brother, John (Lee) Wicks; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. Caroline will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles.
