Caroline (Lavigne) Redmond, 85, of Fairmount, passed away Monday at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Alburg Springs, VT, she moved to the Syracuse area in 1947. Caroline was a graduate of Central High School and attended Syracuse University. She owned Unique Designs Manufacturing Company for over 10 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Caroline was predeceased by her first husband, Jon D. Holtsbery; second husband, Kenneth; sisters, Doris Carhart and Helen Lavigne; and brother, Armand Lavigne.
Surviving are her daughter, Jeanine Ann (Bart) Schibeci of Fairmount; son, Jon D. (Kellie) Holtsbery Jr. of Solvay; sister, Mary Jane (Thomas) Melson of West Virginia; grandchildren, Olivia, Nathan and Brianna; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 27 at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
Caroline will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY and Hospice of the Fingerlakes, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, New York 13088.
