Carole V. (Ciereck) Kowalczyk, 85, of Solvay, after a long illness and, in true Carole-Style, on her own terms, decided she could move on. A lifetime Syracuse area resident, Carole was employed with the NY Telephone Co., Crucible Steel, China Towne and Pat Tom Real Estate. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Carole was predeceased by her parents; husband, Stanley Kowalczyk; and brothers, Gregory and John Verbeck.
Surviving are her son, John (Susan) Kowalczyk; cherished granddaughter, Kaylah; aunt, Kay Kaminski, godson, Gabriel Esteban; many cousins; and cuddling companions, Veevee and other furry friends.
The family would like to thank the Brookdale Bellevue Retirement Community staff for their consistently exceptional care and compassion for Carole.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, January 15 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Carole will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
