Carol Collier Miles

Carol Collier Miles, 50, of Camillus, passed away Saturday July 28, 2012. Born in Morris on Thursday, August 10, 1961, she lived in the Syracuse area for more than 20 years. Carol was a graduate of Morris Central School and SUNY at Oneonta. A teacher for 26 years, she was employed by the school districts of Monticello, Edmeston and Onondaga Central. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed kayaking, walking the Erie Canal, going to camp where she enjoyed spending time outdoors. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children. Carol was predeceased by her father, Ward Collier, in 2011; and her brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Jennifer Collier, in 1987. Surviving are her son, Christopher and daughter, Taylor, both of Fayetteville-Manlius; mother, Reta Collier of Camillus; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Jamie Heath of Camillus; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Marcia Collier of Camillus, and Patrick and Kathie Collier and Kevin and Ginni Collier, both of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, August 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church Capital Campaign, 5600 West Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031.
