Carol Ann Collins (nee Clark), 62, of Camillus, NY, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at home, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Helen and Dorrance E. Clark, Sr., she was born in Biddeford, Maine on Thursday, February 10, 1949 and grew up in Kennebunk, Maine. She moved to Skaneateles in 1980 and later to Camillus in 2001. Carol was a graduate of Kennebunk High School and Becker College (Worcester, Massachusetts). Employed by Donald J. Fager & Associates, Inc. in Syracuse since 1984, she was a member of the Skaneateles Ladies of the Lake and of Gracie’s Gift (crocheting blankets for children in foster care). Her many interests also included knitting, sewing, gardening and collecting lighthouses. Her granddaughters were the lights of her life. She also enjoyed spending time with family and many friends. Surviving are her devoted husband of 42 years, Cornelius “Neil” Collins Jr.; loving daughters, Heather D. Collins-Mott (Steve Casaletta) of Sauquoit and Laurel M. Collins of Camillus; and grandchildren, Cassandra L. Collins, Jamie N. Mott and Bailee F. Mott. Pre-deceased by her father, Dorrance, she is also survived by her mother, Helen Clark of Kennebunk, Maine; sisters, Susan Lamontagne (Dennis), Jane Goodwin, Barbara Maling, Rebekah Michaels (Paul), Sally Hirst, and Mary Philbrick (Jessie), all of Kennebunk, Maine; brothers, Dorrance E. “Pete” Clark, Jr., (Kathy), Thomas (Kelly) Clark and William (Tammy) Clark, all of Kennebunk, Maine; sister-in-law, Cheryl Descent (David) of Kingston, Ontario; 23 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 30 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus, with Rev. Tanya Atwood-Adams officiating.
