Carol A. (Raite) Smith, 76, longtime resident of the Syracuse area, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Carol was a graduate of Solvay High School. She was employed by P&C, Tops Friendly Markets and was a waitress at several local restaurants for many years. She loved doing her greeting card ministry to help bring a smile and an encouraging word to others. Above all, she loved spending time with family and she especially adored her grandsons, who brought her great joy and laughter. She was a loving, kindhearted and thoughtful woman.
Carol was predeceased by her son, Timothy Clark; first husband, William Clark; and parents, John and Constance Raite.
Surviving are her husband, Larry; daughter, Kimberly (Daniel) Cost of Hopewell Junction; sisters, Laureen (Gerry) Mastronardi and Jacqueline (Scott) Mack, both of Camillus; grandsons, Tyler (Olivia) Cost and Kyle (Danielle DeFeo) Cost, both of Hopewell Junction; and several nieces and nephews.
