Carla R. Fuess

Carla R. Fuess, 92, of Camillus, would like to let you know that her time shared on earth with you has come to an end. She wishes her time with you now be filled with happy and joyful memories. On December 1, 2024, Carla received a call to travel to a new and divine destination. True to form, she was late. She had to answer the phone, look for her purse, feed the cat, and decide what color dickey to wear. 

To her delight, upon arrival, Carla was reunited with her husband, Robert W. Fuess; parents, Kenneth and Rose Upson; and all the dogs and cats she has ever loved. She never found her purse.

Unable to travel with her at this time, and missing her greatly, are her daughters, Holly (Kevin) Partridge of Vermont, Ruth (John Wylie) Morris of Camillus, and Connie Fuess of Alaska; grandson, Trevor (Nellie) Partridge; granddaughter, Rori Partridge; great-grandchildren, Flo and Annie; and Puddy, her seemingly immortal and loving four-legged companion. 

Carla relished her friends, life, and the activities she shared with them: biking, downhill and cross-country skiing (Onondaga Ski Club), canoeing, hiking, dancing (Top Hats), entertaining (dinner and Bridge Club), gathering with her lady friends and playing games (Sequence) and sipping a glass of sweet wine along with giving over 25 years of healing touch to her loyal clientele as a relaxation therapist. 

To honor Carla’s life, a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. 

Burial will be private.
