Canh Nguyen

Canh Nguyen, 79, of Geddes, passed away Friday at home. Born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, he lived in Saigon until moving to the U.S. in 1982. He was employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital for more than 20 years. Canh enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, traveling and exercising. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Canh was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Hang Thi Tran, in 2020.

Surviving are his daughter, Loan (Nhan) Nguyen of Cicero; sons, Hung (Kristina) Nguyen of Liverpool, Tam (Paula) Nguyen of Camillus and Chau Nguyen of Syracuse; brother, Ut (Chi) Nguyen of Clay; sister, Anh Nguyen of Vietnam; grandchildren, Andrew, Katelyn, Steven, Christine, Julia, Arianna and Michael; and many nieces and nephews.

Services and burial will be private.
