Caesar R. Manni, 83, of Marcellus, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Saturday, November 20, 1926, he was the son of Enrico and Frances Mercedes Bischi Manni. He lived most of his life in Camillus. Caesar was a veteran of the Army and Merchant Marines. He was employed for 33 years with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., retiring in 1988. A communicant of Holy Family Church, he was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW Local #97). Caesar was predeceased by his wife, the former Gloria “Jean” Alexander in 2001; and his sister, Josephine Perri. Surviving are his daughters, Linda (David) Pavlas of Marcellus, Gayle Money of Spafford and Christine Manni of Camillus; sons, Joseph of Panama City, Florida and Jeffrey of Buffalo; sister, Freda Spencer; and brothers, Edward and Richard, all of California; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Arrangements are by Buranich Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Caesar’s name to the American Diabetes Assn., 6390 Fly Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
