Brian M. Hebert, 72, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the Iroquois Nursing Home.

Born in Ithaca, Brian was a lifelong resident of the Camillus area and a proud graduate of West Genesee High School. He honorably served his country as a U.S. Army veteran, holding the position of an M1 Abrams Armor Crewman for 14 years. His military service as a senior noncommissioned officer was a source of deep pride and lifelong camaraderie.

Brian was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, photography, studying history, and most of all, spending time with his family. He especially cherished his grandchildren, whom he adored and spoke of often with pride and love.

Brian will be remembered for his steadfast nature, his sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of service, curiosity, and devotion to family that will not be forgotten.

Brian was predeceased by his parents, Berkley and Margaret Hebert.

Surviving are his son, Stephan (Polina) Hebert of San Antonio, TX; and granddaughters, Isabella and Isla.

There will be no services.

Brian will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Chazy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
