Blanche was employed at Stewart Air Force Base for several years where she met Capt. John Kosky, who was a public information officer at the base. He lived at home with them and Blanche became his caregiver.
After her husband retired, he joined N.W. Ayer in NYC and was assigned to the Army account. He then transferred to the Army Recruiting office in Syracuse in 1980. The Kosky Family made their home in Camillus.
Blanche served as secretary of the Syracuse Chapter, X-POW, during the two terms her husband served as commander. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, she was a member of its Art Guild for many years.
Blanche was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2007; and sister, Shirley McShane.
