Beverly Thomas Marrs

Beverly (Thomas) Marrs February 26, 2021 Beverly (Thomas) Marrs, 86, of Camillus, passed away peacefully Friday at home, surrounded by her loving family. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was born on October 20, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Thomas. She was a 1952 graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and was employed as a medical assistant and floral designer. A true matriarch, Beverly loved nothing more than taking care of her family - cooking, baking and making them laugh. She was a voracious reader and moviegoer with an amazing intellect. Second only to her family, she loved all animals and spending time at the camp her husband built on the St. Lawrence River.

Beverly was predeceased by her husband, John, in 2020.

Surviving are her sons, John (Candace) of Nederland, CO, and Dana (Deborah) of Titusville, FL; daughter, Elaine (William Garrison) Potter of Marietta; six grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Patricia Marrs of Syracuse, and Melissa Sweet of Saugerties; and several nieces and nephews.

In honoring Beverly's wishes, services and burial will be private.
