Beverly G. Spooner, 81, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place. Born in Groton, she lived in Camillus since 1965. She enjoyed her summer cottage in Moravia. Beverly was a 1950 graduate of Groton High School and 1953 graduate of the University of Rochester School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse with ENT Associates. A member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, she sang in the choir for many years. An avid lover of the arts, she enjoyed the Syracuse Symphony, Syracuse Opera and the Famous Artist Series. Earlier in her life, she had a fondness for dachshunds. Beverly enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also loved cats, especially her cat, Olivia, and was grateful for the Cat Club at Syracuse Home. Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence, in 2012. Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Tom) Corcoran of Solvay; sons, Robert of Phoenix, Bruce (Sibylle) of W. Simsbury, CT and Mark (Lisa) of Oneida; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, December 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 5402 W.
