Betty J. Esselstyn Bowman, 87, of Camillus, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at home. Born in Rochester on Christmas Day in 1922, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse and Camillus area. Betty was a graduate of Crouse School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and past member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd "Buzz" Bowman. Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Hogan of Camillus and Meridee and John Sauve of LaFayette; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Pamela Bowman of Syracuse and Robert and Debbie Bowman of Marietta; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15 in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Craig R. Swan officiating. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. Betty will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
