Bernadine (Coleman) McKeon, 90, of Camillus, died peacefully at home Wednesday, July 1, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Bernie dedicated much of her life to loving and encouraging her children and grandchildren. Passionate about her faith, she was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Bernadine retired in 1992 from Catholic Charities. She participated in water aerobics for many years and was proud to be an elder in the group. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society and loved spending time in her rock garden. Bernadine was predeceased by her husband, William J. McKeon, in 1979. Surviving are her daughters, Melanie (Stephen) Slowik of Warners, Kelly (Karl Shoenfeldt) McKeon of Cooper City, FL and Michele (Jim) Cutrone of Liverpool; son, Mark (Patti) of North Syracuse; and grandchildren, Katie, Kara and Josh Slowik, Marissa and Michael Cutrone and Kayla McKeon. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 3 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
