Barry W. Edgar

Barry W. Edgar, 63, of Cicero, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Cortland on Wednesday, March 27, 1946, he was the son of Glendon Edgar and Pauline Rice Edgar. He moved to Cicero in 1995. Barry was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed with Pall Trinity in Cortland for 39 years. An avid fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed spending time on Oneida Lake and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. Surviving are Mary Grabowski of Warners, his companion of 12 years; brothers and sister-in-law, Glendon Edgar Jr. and Richard and Sharon Edgar, all of Cortland; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Nelson Boyce, also of Cortland; nine step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Skip Kenny, David J. Brown and Mark Grenga. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Gary Ferner officiating. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Barry will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
