Barbara Jean Martin

Barbara Jean Martin, 84, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. She lived most of her life in Syracuse until moving to Camillus. A 1951 graduate of St. Anthony of Padua, Barbara was employed with The State Insurance Fund for 16 years before retiring in 1997. She was a member of CSEA.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Allen, in 2007; mother, Frances Kelly, in 2003; and brother, John Kelly, in 1994.

Surviving are her daughters, Cathy (Jim) Trowbridge of Fulton, Marybeth (Michael Falise) Salisbury of Westvale and Kelly Martin Barkley of Fulton; son, Vaughan (Sue) Martin of Onondaga Hill; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kind and loving care.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, August 5 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
