Barbara Irene (Tilburg) Gribble, 93, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born on October 16, 1926 to the late Lester and Gabriella Tilburg in North Central Pennsylvania. She grew up under the care of her grandparents in the town of Emporium, PA. After graduating high school, Barbara married Alvin Gribble on April 23, 1949 and eventually moved to Camillus where her husband was employed with GTE Sylvania. A resident of Camillus for over 60 years, Barb and her husband were original charter members of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She was also active in Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, bowling leagues, the Elizabethan Circle and Coffee Hour Committee.
Barb was predeceased by her husband, Alvin, in 1997.
Surviving are her daughter, Pamela (John) Hodapp of Greenville, TX; son, Jeffrey (Linda) Gribble of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Megan (Chris) Lloyd of Marcellus, Alan (Mary) Gribble of Massachusetts and Patrick (Meaghan) Hodapp of Wylie, TX; and great-grandsons, Collin and Cole Hodapp of Wylie, TX.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the church. Barbara will be laid to rest in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
