Barbara Cortright

Barbara Cortright, 89, of Solvay passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, May 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Howard Rich and Julia Greiner Rich. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church and former member of the Altar & Rosary Society at St. Brigid & St. Joseph's Church. Barbara was a member of the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. She was employed by Avon for 50 years. Her husband, Donald, passed away March 26, 2006. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Suzanne Cortright of Cicero; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Donald Duszak of Camillus; sisters, Bea Stock of Auburn and Doris D'Agostino, Roberta Kugler and Betty Buczek, all of Syracuse; grandchildren, Donald Duszak Jr. of Syracuse and Heather Cortright of Rochester; great-grandson, Nathan Duszak of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, August 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 4 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa.
