Barbara A. Jock, 79, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy. She retired in 1972 after 20 years with the NY Telephone Co. An active member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Barbara was a social butterfly and involved in a number of activities including Red Hats Society, Camillus Erie Canal Park, Onondaga Hill Gardening Club, and a former dispatcher for CATFISH. She also enjoyed golfing, gardening, knitting and playing Mahjong but above all, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Norman, in 2006; daughters, Connie Mason and Debbie Brittain; son, Steven Jock; great-granddaughter, Alaina Mason; and sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Jerry Hall. Surviving are her son, David (Julie) Jock of Camillus; sons-in-law, Jay Mason of Camillus and Doug Brittain of Onondaga Hill; daughter-in-law, Judy Jock of Wallingford, CT; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; niece, Christine Ridd; and nephew, Scott Hall. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Memorial services will be Friday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. in Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Inurnment will be in Greenlawn Trinity Mausoleum, Warners.
