Arland F. Hibbard

Arland F. Hibbard, 91, of East Syracuse, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.  Born and raised in Prattsburgh, NY, he lived in the Syracuse area since 1969.  He was a graduate of Prattsburgh Central School.  Arland was employed by Barber & Deline in Preble, NY for many years, retiring in 1985.  A member of North Syracuse Baptist Church, he enjoyed woodworking, mechanics and rose gardens. Arland has two brothers waiting for him in Heaven, Durwood Hibbard and Bernard Thompson. Surviving are his wife, the former Marian Jones; sons, James (Kathleen) Hibbard and Richard Hibbard; daughter, Barbara Hibbard; sister-in-law, Josephine Thompson; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be an Open House at Arland and Marian's home on Saturday, January 17 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
