April L. Nuzzi

April L. Nuzzi, 60, formerly of Westvale, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Hudson, FL after a 2-year battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Florida since 2004. April was president of Amvets Post 16 Ladies Auxiliary in Hudson, FL. Surviving are her husband, James Jr.; sons, James III (Paula), Matthew (Christina), and Marc; grandchildren, Corrinne, Hunter, Alyssa, Beverly and Cody; sisters, Carol Polak and Donna Prince; and brother, Ray Highbrown; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 1 in Holy Family Church, Fairmount. April will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in April's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
