Anthony Vannucci Jr., 69, of Syracuse, died of carcenoid cancer on Friday, October 24, 2008 at home. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, August 27, 1939, he was the son of Anthony Vannucci Sr. and Carmella Firenze Vannucci. He graduated from Fulton High School and cum laude from Syracuse University in 1987, receiving a BA degree. He was employed by Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. for 25 years until 1986 and then operated his own pharmaceutical consulting business for 20 years. Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Melanie Ann Petty; son, Todd Vannucci of New York City; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Mark Webb of Long Island; Nurse, Carol Vannucci of Fulton; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and Bill Carpenter of Rochester and Atty. Linda Vannucci of Canada; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Dan) Burkhard of Arizona and Sharon Petty of Syracuse; grandchildren, Justin St. Phillips of Boston, Michelle (Matthew) Landon of Rochester, Michael Webb of Fulton and Casey Webb of Fulton. At Tony's request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
