Anthony R. Sacco, 87, of Largo, FL, passed away at home, surrounded by his family. Born on August 28, 1934, in Syracuse, he was the son of the late Frank N. and Frances (Adorno) Sacco. He attended Syracuse Public Schools, including Seymour and Delaware, and was a graduate of Blodgett High School.
Anthony was a very proud retired Navy veteran and a retired Administrative Officer for the U.S. Marshals Service. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel Palm Harbor and had a strong and abiding faith.
Anthony was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Vincent, Carmen, Richard, Robert, and Patricia Popps; his first wife, Edith Moore Sacco; and second wife, Darlene Knight Sacco.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley A. Sacco; children, Theresa M. (Jack) Winger, Anthony R. Sacco Jr., and Kristi A. (Patrick) Sandner; eight grandchildren, including, Amber (Chris) Williams, Anthony David Sacco, and Jesse Winger; two great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters and spouses; one stepson and spouse; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Frank J. Sacco, Ronald (Terry) Sacco, and Carolyn Kowalewski; brother-in-law, John Popps; and sister-in-law, Lois Sacco.
