Anthony “Tony” L. Ezzo, 79, of Camillus, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Syracuse and raised in Solvay, he moved to Camillus in 1963. A 1955 graduate of Solvay High School, Tony was a proud Air Force veteran and was stationed in Turkey, Japan and Korea. He was employed with General Motors Corp. for 17 years before retiring in 1993 and previously worked for Bristol Laboratories. Tony was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Solvay Tigers.
Tony was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude Comstock and Louis Ezzo; and brother-in-law, Jeff Williams.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Virginia “Ginny” Sorbello-Garafalo; sons, Mark (Bev) Ezzo of Elbridge, Michael (Martha) Ezzo of Warrenton, VA, Christopher Ezzo of Culpeper, VA and Andrew (Sara) Garafalo of Paramus, NJ; sister, Deborah Williams of Elbridge; six grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, May 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 30 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Tony will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James Square Resident Benefit League, 918 James St., Syracuse, NY 13203.
