Anne K. Romano, 90, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Camillus, passed away Monday, peacefully at home with her daughters by her side. Born in Syracuse, she lived in Camillus before moving to South Carolina in 2020. She was a 1949 graduate of Most Holy Rosary High School. Anne was employed by General Electric Co., Burns Real Estate, Plainville Turkey Farms and The Bon-Ton. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Elks Club, and Westvale Golf Club.
Anne was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Frank, in 2021; parents, Francis and Ellen Carroll; sister, Mary Conners; brothers, John, James and Thomas Carroll; sisters-in-law, Helen, Jane and Evelyn Carroll; brother-in-law, Maurice Conners; and son-in-law, Timothy Potts.
Surviving are her daughters, Judith (David) Lamanna, Carol (Kenneth) Goldman and Frances Potts; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Syracuse. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
