Anne Calley, 96, of Syracuse, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born in Utica on Thursday, July 28, 1910, she was the daughter of Frank Paul Toscano and Mary Zaza Toscano. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Anne and her husband started Calley United Appliances in 1946, now called City Hardware. She also helped her son, Frank, with his apartment rental business until approximately the age of 80. She enjoyed traveling and family reunions. Anne was predeceased by her husband, John; sisters, Josephine, Mary and Theresa; brothers, Sam, Tony and Benny and granddaughter, Lisa. Surviving are her son, Frank (Carol) Calley of Camillus; grandson, John (Nancy) Calley; great-grandsons, Gary, Joshua and Matthew; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Camillus where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
