Anne (Bergan) Wall, 89, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2018, at University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Auburn, she was a graduate of East High School and moved to the Syracuse area in 1956.
Anne was employed with the telephone company for over 30 years, working for NY Telephone and retired in 1991 from AT&T. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the funeral, baptismal and luncheon committees.
Anne was also a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and the CNY Folksmarch. She was an avid SU fan, but above all loved spending time with her family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Anne’s next-door neighbor, Tim, for all his loving care.
Anne was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, in 1968; sisters, Jane, Peggy and Berg; and brothers, Paul, Billy and Dutch.
Surviving are her sons, David (Mary Anne) of Marcellus, Thomas (Patricia) of Victor, Stephen (Johanna) of Syracuse, Christopher (Stacey) of Clay, Matthew (Janine) of Lakeland, and Patrick (Suzanne) of Honeoye Falls; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be private.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 22 at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church. Anne will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn.
