Anna Tomoroksa, 75, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at home. Born in Horohov, Ukraine on Thursday, October 5, 1933, she was the daughter of Homa Tomoroksa and Marina Kisil Tomoroksa. Anna worked in the Ukraine on a government farm for 43 years, retiring in 1988. She came to the United States on May 26, 1996. She was a member of the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church. Surviving are her stepmother, Yekaterina Tomoroksa of Syracuse; sisters and brother-in-law, Lyudmila and Vitaliy Boyko of Syracuse and Galina Novosad and Lesia Voytko, both of Ukraine; brothers and sister-in-law, Alex and Lyudmila Tomoroksa of Syracuse and Rafael Tomoroksa of Ukraine; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009 in First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, 3875 Warners Rd., Syracuse. Anna will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
