Anna Milchen, 98, of Liverpool, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at Francis House. Born in Syracuse on Monday, April 26, 1915, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. She resided in East Syracuse for 52 years before moving to Parkrose. A graduate of Blodgett High School, Anna retired from Fisher Body Division of General Motors Corp. after 37 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukranian Catholic Church and member of the Apostleship of Prayer. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1978; parents, Wasyl and Anna Moskal; two brothers; and two sisters. Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Anna Marie Moskal of Liverpool; sister, Eva Nicotra of Vero Beach, Florida; several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and good neighbors, Sally and Robert Loucks. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, May 29 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Panakhyda services at 4 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30 in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church where a Divine Liturgy for the Deceased will be celebrated. Anna will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
