Anna Jane Holihan

Jane Bex Holihan, 92, of Westvale, passed away March 27, 2009 at home. Born in Syracuse on July 27, 1916, she was the daughter of Fredrick Bex and Margaret West Bex. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was formerly a nurse for the Westhill Central School District and St. Charles Borromeo School. She was predeceased by her husband, John, who died on June 18, 1981. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Richard Hoppenstedt, Katherine and Paul Duda and Jane and Coleman Headley, all of Westvale; sister, Barbara Brown of DeWitt; grandsons, Richard and John Hoppenstedt; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services were at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Arrangements were by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.
