Ann Marie Schattner

Camillus

Ann Marie Schattner, 84, of Camillus, passed away Thursday at Upstate University Hospital. A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, she was a proud graduate of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School.

With a strong work ethic and keen attention to detail, Ann dedicated over 25 years as a recordkeeper at Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC. She previously lent her talents to General Electric for seven years and Syracuse Savings Bank for another seven years.

Ann had a deep passion for exploring the world, embarking on unforgettable adventures aboard cruise ships that took her to breathtaking destinations. She cherished the camaraderie of her beloved "Golden Girls" group, where laughter and lively conversation flowed over delicious meals. Always up for a bit of excitement, she delighted in testing her luck with games of chance, embracing every moment with enthusiasm and a spirited heart.

A woman of deep faith, Ann was a devoted communicant of Holy Family Church. She will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering faith, and the warmth she extended to all who knew her.

Ann was predeceased by her grandson, Tyler Kobuszewski; parents, Jack and Nora Hartnett; and brother, James Hartnett.

Surviving are her daughter, Kathy (Frank) Kobuszewski of Camillus; sons, Bob of Richmond, VA, Michael (Martha) of Syracuse, and Steven (Christine) of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; nephew, James (Kris) Hartnett; niece, Beth (Mark) Warholy; and sister-in-law, Maureen Hartnett of Syracuse.

To celebrate Ann’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. A Mass will follow at the church.

A private burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
