Ann Regina (Tague) Byrne, 83, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Francis House. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Ann graduated from Cathedral Academy in 1956 and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years at St. Joseph's Hospital and St. Camillus, retiring in 2015. Ann volunteered at Amaus Medical Services, the Samaritan Center and the Guatemala Helping Hands Medical Mission. She was a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and enjoyed baking, gardening, traveling and volunteering.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, William C. Byrne; and parents, Robert John Tague and Emma Elizabeth Kerwin.
Surviving are her sister, Sister Mary Jean Tague, D.C. of Albany; many cousins from the Tague and Kerwin families; and many wonderful friends.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, April 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 259 East Onondaga St., Syracuse.
A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. If you are unable to attend, you can view the live streamed funeral Mass by visiting the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception’s website. Burial will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
