Ann M. Volcko, 93, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of East Syracuse High School. Ann was employed with McAuliffe Paper Company for 20 years and previously worked for Western Car Loading, Lipe Rollway and Killian Manufacturing. She won numerous blue ribbons at the NYS Fair in the culinary, arts and crafts division. Ann loved the outdoors, knitting and crocheting.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Andrew, in 1973; and three brothers.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary Volcko of Camillus and Elizabeth Volcko of Albany; sons, Tom (Patti) Volcko of Camillus, John (Barbara Rounds) Volcko of Skaneateles and Andrew (Mary) Volcko of South Carolina; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Brookdale Senior Living for their loving care and compassion given to Ann.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, November 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will take place in spring.
