Anita (Slonosky) Babiec

Anita (Slonosky) Babiec, 76, of Camillus, passed away Saturday at Crouse Hospital. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and a 1964 graduate of West Genesee High School. An accountant for St. Joseph’s Hospital, she retired in 2001. Anita was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and member of the Camillus Elks Ladies’ Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, casinos, animals, and watching sports and Hallmark Christmas movies throughout the year. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Anita was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Nicoleta Slonosky; and brother, Donald Slonosky in 2019.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Joseph Babiec; sister-in-law, Sandra Slonosky of Elbridge; nephews, Stephen Slonosky of Montana and Phillip Tepper of Maryland; and niece, Kaitlin Tepper of South Carolina.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, July 12 from 3 to 5 p.m.at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
