Andrew Allen

Andrew R. Allen, 79, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at Francis House. Born in Watertown, he lived in Camillus since 1964. Andrew was a 1950 graduate of Watertown High School and 1963 graduate of Syracuse University. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he retired after 35 years as a certified public accountant. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a communicant of St. Joseph´s Church and member of the Disabled American Veterans, NYS Society of CPAs, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the U.S.S. Macon Veterans Assn. Andrew was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, the former Joan Walsh, in 2003; and brothers, John and James. Surviving are his daughters, Nancy Jones and Keri (Thomas) Braun; and son, Paul (Corrina) Allen, all of Camillus; grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Declan, Aidan and Keira Braun, and Angelina and Helena Allen; and sister, Celine Tillman of Theresa. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Andrew will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
