“Andy” was a firecracker in life. She loved music, singing and dancing to Rock –n-Roll [Herman’s
Hermits; Bee Gee’s] and any music of that era including Polkas. She was a huge Pittsburgh Penguin’s hockey fan and yelled for her favorite SU Basketball team.
Andy was an accomplished Special Olympic swimmer with many medals, some won at Villanova State Competition She completed her College for Life at OCC with Certificate August 2011. She was a very devout member attending St. Joseph’s Church in Camillus, NY, receiving her Confirmation from Bishop Cunningham October 14, 2010 at Holy Family Church in Camillus.
Andy attended ARC Day-Hab and participated in many of their recreational activities like bowling, Winter Ball and Spring Proms and marching in the Syracuse St. Patty’s Day Parade. She was a real go getter, a social butterfly and loved helping others. Andy was also a Life Member of the Vietnam Veteran’s Chapter 704 of Auburn, NY where she helped to make poppies for Memorial Day, marched or rode in many parades and attended many functions with her Chapter.
Andy also trained her dog Mav for shows in PA and loved her Nook, who watched over her before she moved to NY in 2009. She loved her cat Simon – they ate doughnuts together at camp. Andy will be missed because she was so “Special” in so many ways.
Surviving are her sisters, Cheryl (Dan) Crook and Marion (Michael) Milavec; and brother, Paul Negy.
