Ana C. Figueiredo, 95, of Fairmount and formerly of Solvay, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at The Centers at St. Camillus. She lived in Portugal and Solvay before moving to Fairmount in 1978. Ana was employed by Syracuse China Corp. for 20 years, retiring in 1974. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she made more than 11,000 rosaries for the church for distribution. She enjoyed flowers and vegetable gardening but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Ana was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Horacio H. Figueiredo, in 2002 and brother, Jack Figueiredo, in 1975. Surviving are her daughters, Marcelina (Germano) Magnante of Marcellus and Irene (Gary) Springer of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Lisa (Dario) Mucilli, John (Patricia) Magnante, Anita (Nicholas) Hayduke, Jeff (Kay) Springer and Becki (Larry) Sedillo; and 11 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, March 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, March 5 at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated.
