Alexander J. Fatcheric, 52, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Camillus, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Monday, November 18, 1957, he was the son of Alexander Oliver Fatcheric and Mary Ann Fortino Fatcheric. He was raised in the village of Camillus and lived in Pensacola, Florida for the past 30 years. Alex had a 20-year plus career in the Navy. A dedicated father, education was his main focus with his family and home schooling his daughters. Alex earned a master's in public health and a doctorate in aerospace physiology. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid collector of music, memorabilia and novelties. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, the former Janet Remis; and daughters, Alexandra and Gwenyth Fatcheric, all of Pensacola, Florida; and brother, Michael of Camillus. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, June 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16 at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated.
