Albert “Chuck” Seremet, 79, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the VA Medical Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist where he was an acclaimed member of their basketball team and often referred to as “Red” for the color of his hair. Chuck later attended Mohawk Valley Technical Institute in Utica and Pace University in Manhattan. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, an avid fisherman and a sports fan.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Frances; daughter, Jennifer (Jirka) Ranglova of Czech Republic; sons, Christopher (Alicia) of Fair Haven and Eric (Sonia) of Flemington, NJ; grandchildren, Gabriela, Erika, Alexander, Nikolas, Emelia and Anabel; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, October 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 17 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 West Genesee St., Camillus. Chuck will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
