Albert E. “Bud” St.Denis, 86, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, November 7, 1923, he was the son of Albert R. St.Denis and Elizabeth Cox St.Denis. After spending his early years in Syracuse, he moved to Buffalo in 1958 before returning to Fairmount in 1972. Albert was a graduate of St. Lucy's School and a Marine veteran of World War II. He was employed by General Electric Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Bud was predeceased by his sister, Coral Nesbit. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, the former Ella “Peg” Hanley; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Scott Lawrence of Bainbridge Island, Washington; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Beverly St.Denis of Buffalo, Larry and Diane St.Denis of San Jose, California and Andy and Patty St.Denis of Baldwinsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Kevin McEntegart of Alabama and Carol Ann and Chuck Zanghi of Naples, New York; stepmother, Jane St.Denis of Naples, New York; and grandchildren, Kelly and Brian St.Denis, Christian Lawrence and Meaghan and Sean St.Denis. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, February 20 in Holy Family Church. Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Albert will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
