Aiden Linden Jay Sheaffer

Aiden Linden Jay Sheaffer, 16, of Camillus and a sophomore at West Genesee High School, passed away Saturday at home. Born in Winter Park, FL, his journey was filled with intelligence, humor, wit, kindness, and athleticism that left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

Aiden's zest for life extended to various interests and hobbies, including running, bike riding, animals, exploring the vast world of YouTube, immersing himself in gaming adventures, and finding joy making people laugh. His passion for politics was evident to all who crossed his path. A budding Republican, he enjoyed debating politics with his family and friends.

A loyal Buffalo Bills and Golden State Warriors fan, Aiden's enthusiasm for sports added a vibrant energy to his life. Whether cheering for his favorite team or engaging in friendly banter with fellow sports enthusiasts, he found joy in the camaraderie that sports brought into his world. Aiden loved the outdoors and cherished the beach, relishing in the sun, sand, and waves. His adventurous spirit led him to explore new horizons, fueling a love for travel and the freedom of the open road, camping, and making s’mores.

As we mourn the loss of Aiden, we remember a young man who embraced life with passion and purpose. His laughter, kindness, and lively spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who were blessed to share in his journey.

Surviving are his mother, Amanda; grandmothers, Lynn Sheaffer and Yvette Archambault; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his West Genesee cross country and track and field team members.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27, at 2 p.m. at 317 Vanida Dr., Camillus.
