Adrienne F. Carta

Adrienne F. Carta, 75, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Cortland on Saturday, August 29, 1936, she was the daughter of Peter Bertini and Anna Russo Bertini. She was raised in Cortland and was a 1954 graduate of Cortland High School and moved to Syracuse in 1956, when she attended CCBI. Adrienne retired from Allstate Insurance Co. after more than 10 years and previously worked for General Electric and Roxboro Rd. Middle School, North Syracuse Central School District. She loved spending time with her family, especially celebrating birthdays and having picnics on the lake. She also enjoyed traveling and was an avid SU basketball fan. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Richard “Dick”; her loving children: Wendy (Duane) Schumacher of Liverpool, Richard (Judy) of Liverpool and David (Theresa) of Baldwinsville; sister, Pamela Robillard of North Syracuse; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, November 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Saturday, November 5 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Adrienne will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., P.O.
