Robert W. Conner, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Middletown on Monday, December 26, 1927, he was the son of Charles Baldwin Conner and Elsie Terwilleger Conner. After spending his early years in Middletown, he lived in Syracuse since 1950. He was a graduate of Middletown High School and received a degree in horticulture from SUNY Cobleskill.

Bob retired after 26 years with the City of Syracuse and was formerly employed by Mulhauser Floral Co. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Men´s Garden Club of Syracuse, Syracuse Rose Society, and the Zoo Crew. An avid gardener, he especialy enjoyed growing hostas, roses and geraniums.

Surviving are several cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 2 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. James Dixon officiating. Robert will be laid to rest in Scotchtown Cemetery, Scotchtown.
